"The boat ticket to Spinalonga (from Plaka or Elounda) and the entrance fee to the archaeological site are not included in our standard private tour price. However, your informative tour leader will assist you with skip-the-line arrangements and provide all necessary information for a seamless visit to the historic 'Island of the Living Dead'."
2. Can we have a licensed guide for the Spinalonga Fortress tour?
"Yes, a certified professional licensed guide is available upon request. While our English-speaking drivers provide an extensive historical overview during the drive and at the traditional village of Plaka, a licensed guide is required by law to accompany you inside the fortress for a detailed historical tour."
3. Is the tour to Spinalonga and Agios Nikolaos suitable for guests with limited mobility?
"We strive to make our luxury tours accessible to everyone. While Spinalonga island has some uneven terrain, the cosmopolitan town of Agios Nikolaos and the seaside village of Plaka are very accessible. Our Mercedes-Benz minivans offer comfortable door-to-door transport, and we can adjust the itinerary to minimize walking if requested."
4. What will we experience during the Olive Oil Tour part of this trip?
"On our way to the Mirabello Bay, we visit a traditional olive oil factory. You will learn about the cultivation of the famous 'Koroneiki' olives, see the cold-press extraction process, and enjoy a guided tasting session of premium extra virgin olive oil and local Cretan products."
5. How much time do we spend in Agios Nikolaos and the Lake Voulismeni area?
"Typically, we spend about 1.5 to 2 hours in Agios Nikolaos. This gives you plenty of time to enjoy a coffee by the 'bottomless' Lake Voulismeni, stroll through the boutique shops, or have a seaside lunch. As this is a private experience, the duration at each stop can be fully customized to your preference."
